Getting wet

An uneventful couple of days here.  It rained for most of yesterday and for the first half of the day, continued to blow a hoolie.  It did stop raining and blowing eventually, but only after we'd been out geocaching.

We went to do a few more that were either park-ups or a very short walk from a parking spot.   We'd discovered that there was one on a walk that Small and I had done last summer so he was keen to go there again.  He wasn't quite so keen once we actually got there though as the wind was so strong it was nearly blowing him over!  Fortunately we found what we were looking for quickly and hot-footed it back to the car.  We tried looking for a couple of others, but didn't manage to find them.  We got rather wet but we had fun, and then it was off to collect HMS.

Today was overcast to start with, with no wind.  Needless to say as soon as we got in the car to go off to our walking destination, it started to rain again, so a bit of a re-think was required.  We did a few more drive bys, found our very first 'nano' cache - one that's about the size of a fingernail - stuck on the side of a telegraph pole, and then it was off to swimming which we've changed to a Saturday so HMS can come too once his drama classes finish in a couple of weeks time.

So we went out and got wet when we didn't particularly want to get wet, only to go somewhere else where we deliberately got wet.  Strange creatures, aren't we!  The pool actually didn't feel very warm today, whereas it's usually like getting into a warm bath.  We got a good workout though, and Small did well practicing what he's learned at his swimming lessons so far.  By the time we got out of the pool, there were blue skies all around and the day ended with clear skies and no wind.  It's also very frosty tonight and anything in the back yard that's got water in it is frozen over.

The forecast for tomorrow is currently promising bright sunny weather, albeit a tad on the cold side.  Hopefully we'll be able to get out at some point for a walk.

Until next time. x

  1. Wet here as well. Luckily I've had a job working inside so it's not so bad.
