History lessons

An early start to the books this morning, which meant we'd finished in good time.   As it was a lovely day, we headed out for some fresh air and free history at Spofforth Castle.

After our visit to the castle, which isn't really a castle at all but rather the ruins of a nobleman's manor house, we headed into nearby Wetherby.  More on that tomorrow.

Until next time. x

  1. You are lucky to be surrounded by so much history you dont have to travel far. Our oldest buildings are just over 200 yrs. We do cover indigenous Australians but its not our heritage. Im fascinated by your historical architecture and the gardens. My husband is from Yorkshire. New to blog via a comment on FQ.
