I should have stayed in bed

I'm sure we've all had days when we wonder why we bothered getting up at all.  Today was one of those days.

First off, I nearly didn't get up at all as the alarm clock didn't go off.  I know I set it because having been up early to go on yesterday's trip, it needed changing back to normal getting up time.  Not a peep out of the thing, so I totally over-slept.

Small was having a particularly bad aspie day so our home ed didn't get off to a very good start either.  It took him almost two hours to complete a couple of worksheets which he can, when in the right frame of mind, do in about 30 seconds.  In fact he proved this point later by merrily working his way through a further 13 sheets (his choice!) in under 15 minutes.

Later on we went out with housemate to look at cars.  His car is up for renewal soon so he's been looking around to see what's available.  The answer is that while plenty are available, only a very few are capable of storing the wheelchair in the boot.  Why is it that car boots seem to have shrunk so much?!  It looks like he'll end up with another of the one he's got now.

While we were out, a bird crapped on me - which is supposed to be lucky - but then housemate (accidentally) bashed the boot lid on my head, which definitely wasn't lucky at all.  I've now got a throbbing head ache for my trouble.

I think I'm going to make myself a cup of tea and go for a nice long soak in a hot bath.  With a smidgin of luck, no disasters will befall me while I'm there!  Doing my best to think happy thoughts, I'll leave you with a picture of Small taken as we were leaving Woolsthorpe Manor yesterday.

Until next time. x
